Houston Parks and Recreation Department seeks Natural Resource Interns
Two 24- week internships
Natural Resource and Water Quality Interns
Interns will work on multiple riparian forest habitat restoration projects within City of Houston Parks. Daily tasks will include removing invasive species and installing native trees along Sims Bayou. Monthly water sampling will take place at each of the sites along with monthly volunteer workdays to restore and create forested buffers in the parks.
*This position does not provide housing so candidates must be local or have the ability to identify their own housing in the Houston area.
Intern Living Allowance: $400.00 per week
No travel allowance
The interns in this position must accept the AmeriCorps education award.
