Houston City Council Agenda- January 5, 2022

The city will consider the following agenda items at the Houston City Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, January 4, 2022, in the City Hall Chamber at 9:00 AM. Consent Agenda Items

Agenda Item 3 is the payment for emergency repairs for electrical damage to the 69th street wastewater treatment plant caused by flooding.

Agenda Item 4, the purchase of electric submersible trash pumps through the Houston-Galveston area. The amount of $99 K ensures that wastewater is disinfected and dechlorinated when discharged into the bayou system.

Agenda Item 6 is for the purchase of PVC pipe for Houston Public Works so general repairs can be carried out when needed around the city.

Agenda Item 7, to purchase refuse and recycling containers and lids to replace broken or lost lids used by customers. This amounts to $960 K.

Agenda Item 18, awarding a construction contract to Landscape Art Inc for Harwin park and setting deadlines.

Agenda Item 23 prohibits the use of designated groundwater beneath a tract of land commonly known as 12000 Bissonnet street, Houston.

Agenda Item 24 approving the interlocal agreement for the Mosley Road Street improvements.

Agenda Item 25 appropriates funds from Water & Sewer System Construction Fund and the Street Renewal Capital Fund. A recommendation is to appropriate these funds for contracts for water, sanitary, sewer, and storm drainage.

Agenda Item 27 approves the first amendment to the contract with GC Engineering for University Boulevard paving and drainage from Kirby Drive to Main Street.

Agenda Item 28 appropriates funds out of the Drainage and Street Renewal Fund for a program to replace existing asphalt streets and roadside ditches with concrete curb and gutter streets.

Agenda Item 29 awards contract to Reytec Construction Resources for Houston Heights, John Brashear Memorial Heights Paving and Drainage Improvements and appropriate funds.

Non-Consent Agenda Items

Agenda Item 31 is the approval of a final contract amount of $2 M with Tikon Group for the Safe Sidewalk Program.
