Houston City Council Agenda – February 16, 2021

The city will consider the following agenda items at the Houston City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 2021, which will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams starting at 1:40 PM. Public comment will be allowed Tuesday, February 16, 2021 by teleconference. Topics to be addressed in this meeting include sanitary sewer improvements, the extension of Municipal Services, matters concerning Entergy Texas, among other topics.

Consent Agenda

• Agenda Item 4 is a recommendation from the Director of Houston Public Works for approval of the final contract amount of $8,159,726 and acceptance of work on contract with BRH-Garver Construction, L.P. for the Holmes Road Sanitary Sewer – Kirby Drive to Knight Road.
• Agenda Item 5 is a purchase for Leak Detector Correlator Systems for Houston Public works from Globe Electric Supply CO., INC at a cost of $25,799.
• Agenda Item 6 is a purchase for Waste Carts, Recycling Carts, and Related Products for the Solid Waste Management Department from Rehrig Pacific Company at a cost of $936,750.
• Agenda Item 11 is an ordinance approving the issuance of Bonds and Notes by Lake Houston Redevelopment Authority.
• Agenda Item 12 is an ordinance authorizing participation with other Entergy Service Area Cities in matters concerning Entergy Texas, INC, before the Public Utility Commission of Texas
• Agenda Item 20 is an ordinance directing the Department of Planning and Development to prepare a Service Plan providing for the extension of Municipal Services into certain territory in the vicinity of Aldine-Westfield Road and Richey Road in Harris County. There is a public hearing on this matter scheduled for March 24th and March 31st at 9:00 AM.
• Agenda Item 21 is an ordinance consenting to the addition of 8.1658 acres of land to Harris County Municipal Utility District NO. 180.
• Agenda Item 22 is an ordinance finding and determining public convenience and necessity for the acquisition of real property interests in connection with the Public Improvement Project known as the Water Line Replacement Along Westway Lane Project.
• Agenda Item 23 is an ordinance finding and determining public convenience and necessity for the acquisition of real property interests in connection with the Public Improvement Project known as the Willow Meadow Lift Station Rehabilitation Project.
• Agenda Item 24 is an ordinance finding and determining public convenience and necessity for the acquisition of real property interests in connection with the Public Improvement Project known as the Fresh Water Supply District (FWSD) #23 Improvements Project.
