CEC Welcomes Aiyana Baptiste as a Policy and Government Relations Intern

Aiyana Baptiste is currently a senior at Texas A&M University, where she studies Renewable Natural Resource and minors in Philosophy. Her selective choice in major and minor will help her to pursue a career in environmental law and focus on policies pertaining to environmental mitigation efforts. She’s also going into her last semester at the A&M and will be graduating this fall!

Baptiste has spent her time and efforts to give back to her community in Houston and College Station areas through volunteering. She’s a member of a national conservation organization, Society for Ecological Restoration, and currently holds the secretary position in the Bryan-College station branch. She’s also apart of the Pre-law Society and African Student Association at her institution. In her free time from volunteering and school, she enjoys biking and cooking plant-based meals.

Baptiste is honored and thrilled to join the CEC internship team. While being at CEC she hopes to gain more understanding in policy topics and practice for future experience in environmental conservation!

You may reach her at Aiyana.baptiste@cechouston.org.
