#GivingTuesday – Double Your Donation starting at 7 AM

As the holiday season brings cash flowing to retail businesses, non-profits can get in on the action thanks to #GivingTuesday. Give early to take advantage of matching gift opportunities!

Tuesday, November 27, 2018 is a significant day for caring Houstonians. Why? Because it’s is #GivingTuesday! It’s a day when you can make a big impact on Citizens’ Environmental Coalition and on our environmental community.
Starting at 7 am Houston time on Tuesday, 11/27/18, Facebook and PayPal are matching up to $7 million of funds raised on Facebook for U.S. nonprofits like CEC. Use the Facebook payment platform and pay no fee—100% of the donations made through Facebook Payments go to the charity—and hopefully help us earn matches for your donations!
For over 45 years, the CEC has worked to improve our region’s air, water, and lands by educating the public about critical environmental issues, and building coalitions to address those issues.
If you don’t have a Facebook account, you can also pay securely with a credit card, through PayPal Giving Fund (which will make a 1% donation match through the end of the year), and on Network for Good (which makes it easy to set up recurring donations). As always, you may send a check (payable to Citizens’ Environmental Coalition) to PO Box 702, Houston, TX 77001.
Your support is critical to CEC’s ability to connect our environmental community. We do this through publications including the CEC newsletter, the Environmental Resource Guide, and a website featuring a comprehensive environmental calendar and green job listing. We also connect our community through events, including the Greater Houston Environmental Summit, Wild About Houston Green Films, and–in partnership with Discovery Green Conservancy–Earth Day Houston in April. Over the next two years, thanks to a generous donor, we will be working to connect formal and informal educators with learners. We need your help to amplify the work of the environmental community in the Greater Houston region!
