Houston City Council Agenda – July 24, 2018
The City will consider the following agenda items at the July 24, 2018, Houston Council Meeting. The agenda items include water line, waste water, and waste hauling matters. The City will also be considering a contract to develop a long-range municipal solid waste management plan; the plan shall include strategies and methodologies for waste reduction, recycling and reuse. 20: Ordinance approving and authorizing contract between the City of Houston and ARREDONDO, ZEPEDA & BRUNZ, LLC and NEWGEN STRATEGIES AND SOLUTIONS, LLC, joint venture, for Consulting Services for the Solid Waste Management Department; providing a maximum contract amount – 3 Years – $485,280.00 – General Fund
32: Ordinance appropriating $2,667,100.00 out of Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund, awarding contract to D.L. ELLIOTT ENTERPRISES, INC for Water Line Replacement in Memorial Bend and Briar Forest Area
33: Ordinance appropriating $18,342,000.00 out of Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund, awarding contract to LEM CONSTRUCTION CO., INC for Northwest Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements
34: Ordinance granting to HYDRO HAWK ENVIRONMENTAL, LLC, a Texas Limited Liability Company, the right, privilege, and franchise to collect, haul, and transport solid waste and industrial waste from commercial properties located within the City of Houston, Texas
35: Ordinance granting to NX4 INDUSTRIES, LLC dba NEXWASTE, a Texas Limited Liability Company, the right, privilege, and franchise to collect, haul, and transport solid waste and industrial waste from commercial properties located within the City of Houston, Texas
