CEC Welcomes Kaitlin Cook as Programs and Policy Intern
Kaitlin is in her first year at the University of St. Thomas, working on her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After completing the two year program and accompanying internship, she hopes to be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), working predominantly with at risk youth.
Kaitlin previously attended Texas A&M University, graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science in December of 2015. While in College Station, she was involved in YoungLife. Kaitlin served as a volunteer mentor to high school kids in Caldwell, Texas, through this organization, attending sporting events, organizing fundraisers as well as handling their bookkeeping. In her spare time, Kaitlin loves to attend concerts, try out new recipes and spend time with her dog, Ziggy.
Despite a lack of experience with environmental issues, Kaitlin is excited to learn about all that goes on behind closed doors in non-profit organizations as well as some more on the environmental issues facing the current world.
