Houston City Council Agenda – July 19, 2017

This city will consider the following agenda items at the July 19, 2017, Houston Council Meeting.

10 – Approves the recommendation from Director Department of Public Works & Engineering for approval of final contract amount of $10,241,215.96 and acceptance of work on contract with Industrial TX Corporation for East Water Purification Plant.

21 – This ordinance approves and authorizes Settlement Agreement including terms for Water Pass-Through, Water Commitment and Encroachment between the City of Houston, Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 8, Montgomery County Municipal Utility No. 9, the city of Huntsville and the San Jacinto River Authority.

26 – This ordinance approves, authorizes and awards a Single Stream Recycling Agreement between the City of Houston and Fomento De Construcciones Y Contratas, Inc. for the Solid Waste Management Department contract amount- 15 years with one five-option – $48,424,001,00 – General Fund. Fomenton De Construcciones Y Contratas is a leading Spanish construction company based in Barcelona, that specializes in environment, water and infrastructure works.

42, 43, 44, 45 – This ordinance appropriates $420,000.00 out of Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund, it approves and authorizes Professional Engineering Services Contract between the City of Houston and Omega Engineers Inc. for Force Main Renewal and Replacement. This ordinance appropriates $1,393,050.00 out of Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund, it approves and authorizes Professional Engineering Services Contract between the City of Houston and IDS Engineering group, Inc. for Lift Station Renewal and Replacement. This ordinance appropriates $1,909,590.00 out of Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund, it approves and authorizes Professional Engineering Services Contract between the City of Houston and Neel-Schaffer, Inc. for Neighborhood Sewer System Improvements. This ordinance appropriates $4,694,100.00 out of Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund and awards contract to D.L. Elliott Enterprises, Inc. for Water Main Replacement in Memorial Woods Area.

46 – This ordinance grants Southern Vacuum, Texas sole proprietorship, the right, privilege, and franchise to collect, haul, and transport solid waste and industrial waste from commercial properties located within the City of Houston.
