Houston City Council Agenda – May 31, 2017

The city will consider the following agenda items at the May 31, 2017, Houston City Council Meeting.

• 4, 5, 6 - Under these projects, three different contractors provided sanitary sewer rehabilitation by sliplining and pipe bursting methods to deteriorated sewer collection systems throughout the city for a total of $13,777,380.
• 24 -  This ordinance authorizes the transfer of $95,976 for the purchase of Stream Mitigation Credits necessary for the NEWPP Expansion Project. This project is required to meet regulatory mandates of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District Surface Water Conservation Plan.
• 27 – This ordinance awards a contract to Denali Water Solutions LLC for On-Site Water Treatment and Sludge Dewatering and Disposal Services for the Department of Public Works & Engineering. It provides a maximum contract of three years with two one-year options totaling $12,569,673.
• 29 – This ordinance appropriates $3,814,400 out of the Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund and awards a contract to Industrial TX Corporation for Lift Station Renewal and Replacement. This project consists of the rehabilitation of four lift stations to include mechanical, structural, electrical and instrumentation components, appurtenances, and site work. This program is part of the Lift Station Renewal and Replacement program and is required to meet the need to improve or replace wastewater lift stations.
