Houston City Council Agenda – November 9, 2016
The city will consider the following agenda items at the November 9, 2016, Houston City Council Meeting.
- 24 – Ordinance related to the retail water and sewer rates of Nitsch & Son Utility Company, Inc, approving settlement relating to an increase in the water and sewer rates in Council District H in the City of Houston. The settlement represents a 24.49% increase in the monthly bill for the average residential customer.
- 49 – Ordinance appropriating $3.1 million out of Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund for the rehabilitation of existing water wells at various sites to restore reduced pumping capacity from the wells due to wear of the pumps or plugging of the well screens. This project is part of the City of Houston’s program to upgrade and rehabilitate groundwater production facilities. It will meet the area’s water demand and ensure compliance with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regulations.
