Description: Sunday, September 9, Join Lan Shen for a Tour of College Park Prairie – the real thing!: A tour of College Park Prairie, a remarkably pristine prairie remnant in Deer Park that several conservation organizations are attempting to save from the bulldozer, will be given on Sunday morning, Sept. 9, after the Wildscapes Workshop which is Sept. 8. Flo Hannah will be talking about this prairie at the Workshop. To see photos of the Prairie, go to www.SaveOurPrairie.com. Since the land is still private property, all visitors must go with guided tours. Please RSVP to Lan.Shen@txgcmn.org to register. The number of visitors is limited by the number of guides available, so please register early. Tour time is tentatively 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Depending on temperature, tour time may be changed to 9:00 a.m. – 11 a.m. Anyone wanting a tour, but not able to come that Sunday, please let Lan know. Other tours will be scheduled.
