2012 Green Legacy Gala

Title: 2012 Green Legacy Gala
Location: The Grand Ballroom at The Houstonian Hotel
Link out: Click here
Description: WHAT
The 2012 Green Legacy Gala is the USGBC Texas Gulf Coast Chapter’s premier fundraiser for the green building mission. It recognizes the most influential leaders in sustainability and the cadre of unsung heroes who work daily in Houston and the Texas Gulf Coast to promote green building.

This year’s theme refers to the growth of the chapter’s movement internally and externally. The chapter’s new headquarters at the City of Houston’s Permitting Center has energized and started a new era in its life. The marketplace has a better outlook and the recognition Houston and Texas has received in green building has been remarkable.

A new day has begun for green building and at this gala we celebrate it!

PROGRAM
The Green Pioneer is the chapter’s legacy award and recognizes those who have exhibited unparallel support for the green building movement and the chapter.

The Green Heroes are unsung champions. They are the men and women who work behind the scenes to promote the green building movement. They are the foot soldiers who receive little to no recognition for what they are doing daily to build sustainable workplaces.

The 2012 Green Leadership Program Scholarship Recipients are the chapter’s first educational scholarship winners. They attended the chapter’s new educational certification program for the trades and general public. These recipients represent the future of the green building workforce. By seeking the G-PRO certification, these students will become jobsite advocates and knowledgeable workers in sustainability.
