Wildscape Workshop attendees have priority on this field trip. If space permits, non-attendees are welcome to participate.

The Native Plant Society’s Wildscapes Workshop attendees will have heard Flo Hannah talk about College Park Prairie by Sunday morning. (Link to Workshop flyer) This is an opportunity for them to see the real thing. A tour of College Park Prairie will be given on Sunday morning (August 9, 2012), after Wildscapes Workshop. Since the land is still private property, all visitors must be accompanied by approved leaders. Please RSVP to Lan.Shen@txgcmn.org to register. The number of visitors is limited by the number of leaders available, so please register early. Tour time is tentatively 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Depending on temperature, tour time may be changed to 9:00 a.m. – 11 a.m. Anyone wanting a tour, but not able to come on August 9, please let Lan know. Future tours will be scheduled.

Although there is a mowed walking path through the prairie, it’s best to wear long pants, closed toe shoes, and bug spray. Long sleeves might be desirable also.
