Description: The 2012 9th Annual Houston Solar Tour is a self-guided tour that offers visitors the opportunity to learn about solar energy systems, energy-efficiency and sustainable building technologies by visiting residences and businesses in the Houston area that use these technologies in real world applications.
How to Take the Tour

The Houston Solar Tour is a self-guided driving tour. There are a few ways to view the project sites. You can either look over the Tour project site locations online, gather a few friends to carpool with and start visiting the projects that interest you starting at 9 am. Or, stop by the Green Energy Fair table sponsored by HREG at Tranquility Park where you can pick up a Program Guide, ask some questions and possibly meet others to carpool and start visiting sites. Tour sites are open from 9 am to 1 pm.
