Description: The City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department has entered into a partnership with the Harris County Flood Control District and the Buffalo Bayou Partnership to improve Buffalo Bayou Park, the 124.05 acre park bounded by Sabine Street, Allen Parkway, Shepherd Drive and Memorial Drive.
You are invited to attend a public meeting regarding the plans for this 2.3-mile stretch of civic green space in the shadow of downtown.

The Buffalo Bayou Partnership has been charged with leading the park improvement project. With an historic $30 million catalyst gift from the Kinder Foundation, park enhancements are being planned to restore the bayou to a natural, self-sustaining state and reintroduce native vegetation and amenities to the park that will enhance safety and the visitor experience. The total cost of the project is $55 million.
