MEETING THE NEEDS OF CHILD TRAFFICKING VICTIMS: THE IMPACT OF IN RE. B.W.
In 2010, the Texas Supreme Court held that children under 14 cannot be prosecuted
for prostitution, decriminalizing young victims of the crime of human trafficking.
This lunch-hour CLE will provide participants with vital information regarding the
current status of Texas law with regard to human trafficking. From prosecuting
traffickers to safe harbor legislation and the need for victim services, attendees
will hear from experts on our State’s response to this pervasive problem as well as
where the greatest need is now for child victims.
MCLE Credit and lunch will be provided.
