Description: It is almost that time again this year for the Annual Outdoor Experience that will
impact almost 5,000 youth in the Community from Kindergarten to 8th Grade including
Special needs students on Monday. This event teaches the students Conservation from
Energy, Water, Animal, Environment and the Outdoors in this Field Trip Outdoor
Classroom.

Outdoor Experience 2012 – April 30 – May 4 from 8:15 am – 1:30 pm in Texas City
Doyle Center Park

All program areas will be presented through hands on interaction.
Students will learn about their outdoors through several fun filled activities, projects
and games per program area. Tracks will be age appropriate for students. The program
is sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America, with support from the City of Texas City,
College of the Mainland and the several local independent agencies.

The Outdoor Experience is for all those students who participated in the Learning For
Life program within their schools and it is part of the curriculum for National
Accreditation. There is no monetary fee for this activity it is a community outreach
service project. Instead students are required to participate in a community service
project to reinforce “helping others”. Each Student will bring 1 canned or boxed
non-perishable food item for the Food Bank.
