March 17 Report: (by Joy Hester and Mark Meyer) It was a beautiful spring morning at Willow Waterhole on March 17, where an enthusiastic group of 28 birders saw a total of 43 species during Houston Audubon’s monthly Willow Waterhole bird survey. Many thanks to those who participated and especially to John Schneider, Ben Hulsey, and Warren Pruess for being group leaders. We had several new participants who we were glad to welcome, and Clayton McKee from The Chronicle was a most welcome guest. Many thanks to all for another successful bird survey at Willow Waterhole.
