Combined Heating and Power & Clean Energy Policy
This lecture will outline the use of combined heating and power (cogeneration) and its potential to create cleaner energy in the US through technology and energy policy. Combined heating and power is an efficient, clean, and reliable approach to generating power and thermal energy from a single fuel source. Combined heating and power technology increases the efficiency of electrical plants, reduces energy costs and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Tomlin will discuss the role combined heating and power technology can play in cleaner energy policies.
