Sierra Club Outing: Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge
Title: Sierra Club Outing: Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge
Location: Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge
Link out: Click here
Description: Visit the Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge (TRNWR). Some
of the best bottomland hardwood forests are found in the TRNWR.
Spring will be just around the corner and we may get a glimpse of
early wildflowers. Birds will be coming out of winter and thinking of
migration.
Bring your daypack, hat, water, lunch, binoculars, hiking shoes,
camera, field guides, and clothes to fit the weather. We will meet to
carpool/caravan at 7:30 a.m. in the parking lot just west of Starbucks
(look for Becks Prime) in Meyerland Plaza. Starbucks fronts the
4700 block of Beechnut (south side of Beechnut, near the West Loop
South). Look for a Silver Honda Civic with lots of bumper stickers.
If you would like to come call Brandt Mannchen at 713-664-
5962 or email him at brandtshnfbt@juno.com and leave your name,
address, phone number, and email. In case of trip cancellation Brandt
will email or call you.
