In this informative workshop, see how you can supplement wildlife food during these difficult weather conditions by simply leaving “weeds” in place. You will also learn about the many kinds of vegetation that Native Americans used and which are still eaten today, plus tips on preparing your “weeds” for the table. Workshop format will include a short presentation in the classroom followed by a walk along the nature trails to learn to identify wild edibles. Dress for an outdoor walk and bring drinking water, a notebook and pencil. Camera recommended.
