From Farm to Fork

Community Supported Agriculture programs are growing in popularity. Members make an
annual commitment to a local farmer and receive weekly shares of seasonal produce.
For two decades Hans Hansen of Twin Persimmons Farm in Grimes County has been using
holistic and regenerative farming systems to boost soil health, eliminate the use of
pesticides, and integrate biodiversity for nutrient-dense food. He will share how
CSAs work, how they support independent Texas farmers, and why buying locally grown,
seasonal produce is important to us and to the environment.
