Somewhere between what the eye can see and what shows up under a microscope is a
world of wonders. Have you seen a dragonfly’s whiskers? Or a Monarch butterfly
caterpillar hatching from the egg? All of these wonders can be discovered using a
camera with a macro lens. As long as your camera or lens has a “macro” setting, it
should be suitable for this class.

Macro photography is the craft and art of photographing small subjects, such as
insects, flowers, or frogs, revealing detail not visible to the naked eye – nature’s
hidden gems. Join Cletus Lee and discover the techniques for getting the most out of
depth of field, lighting, and focusing with really small subjects.

The class is aimed at beginners as well as seasoned photographers with a desire to
explore nature up close. Emphasis will be on technique along with some tips and tricks to get the subject in front of the lens.
