Description: Seed saving has traditionally been the primary way for gardeners to pass plants down to the next generation. This class will give gardeners the opportunity to collect their own seed. Seed saving is not only a wonderful activity, it’s also an important way to ensure the availability of heirloom plants, and to maintain the genetic diversity of food crops. Saving seed requires you to grow plants to maturity, and consequently they get bigger and stay around longer than normal. We will guide you through the best seed saving techniques and seed storage, so that it is viable for planting in the future.
