Title: Urban Harvest Class: Gardening with Natives for a WaterSmart Landscape
Location: Westside High School
Link out: Click here
Description: More than just pretty spaces, our landscapes can be functional and resource efficient, eco-friendly places for people and wildlife to enjoy. This hands on workshop will take you through all the steps from design to soil preparation, planting and maintenance, to help you create a landscape that is water conserving, protects water quality and provides a habitat for wildlife. What better time to plan your WaterSmart garden than during the cooler fall months? Digging conditions for us are more pleasant and plants will be well established by the time the heat of summer returns. The class will include a classroom presentation, followed by a hands-on installation of a “WaterSmart” landscape. You will receive plants lists and a resource guide.
