Description: Kidpendence Day celebrates life, liberty and the pursuit of fun! Swing by the Children’s Museum of Houston this Independence Day weekend before the fireworks light up the sky. Our great nation turns 235 years-old. Now, that’s old! But the spirit of patriotism lives on. Come celebrate USA’s birthday the kid way! Plus, we know you’re seeing stars and stripes from fluctuating gas prices. Receive up to $12 off for six people on July 4.
High Steppers Brass Band & Flag Waving Parade: Join the High Steppers Brass Band and proudly wave the U.S. flag through Kidtropolis, USA to the Allen Family Courtyard. We will sing the national anthem and pay tribute to the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Event Date: July 4 at 1 p.m.
21-Soda Geyser Salute: Right after the parade, watch soda shoot 10 feet into the air as we pop Mentos into 21-bottles as a salute to our troops in the Courtyard.

Project Fashionista – Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty Edition: Strut your patriotic stuff on the catwalk. Design and dress up as these two American “icons.†Red, white and blue are in fashion in the Brown Auditorium.

Mon. – Sat.; 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sun: Noon – 6 p.m.
Every Monday and second Saturday of the month opens at 9 a.m. for members.
General Museum admission: $8 per person and $7 for seniors 65+ and for military personnel. Children under one and Museum Members receive free admission.
Free Family Night every Thursday 5 – 8 p.m.
