Description: Join naturalist Eric Duran for a fun and informative exploration of the
common turtles and tortoises of the Houston area. There will be live turtles, turtle identification info, and learning about the fascinating lives of our shelled reptilian friends.
Eric Duran is a Staff Naturalist at the Nature Discovery Center, where he teaches nature and science classes, leads hikes, and cares for the live animal collection. He has worked a a field biologist, educator, and wilderness guide from Ecuador to Alaska. Eric has harbored an intense fascination for reptiles and amphibians from the time he was old enough to walk.
This event is part of “For the Inquisitive Naturalist”, the Nature Discovery
Center’s monthly talk/walk series that occurs the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm at the Nature Discovery Center. Light refreshments are served. Children are welcome to attend our summer talks.
