Description: A rain barrel is a container that collects otherwise wasted rain water from your
downspout. An Average size house may shed over 30,000 gallons of water a year or over 300 gallons in just one rainfall event. This storm water run off carries with it fertilizers and pesticide and causes pollution in our water system. By harvesting the soft water from rain and using it for irrigation you not only help your plants you also save money on your water bill and you help the environment. Participant will construct a 55 gallon Rain Barrel from a recycled plastic food grade containers to take home with them for immediate use.
