Description: We invite you to experience this event, which focuses on candy making of the 1850s and how common it would have been on the farm. Join in as staff, dressed in period costumes, make candy from recipes of the period. Learn what types of sweets were available and other possible alternatives. Finally, you will be able to make a connection between the 19th and 21st Centuries’ sweet tooth. Accessible for the mobility impaired. Fees free for Texas State Parks Pass holders, $5 adults and senior citizens and $3 children 12 and under.
