1. Houston Farmers Market, Inc., is now Rice University Farmers Market. After seven years as an independent, nonprofit organization, Houston Farmers Market, Inc., has become an official part of Rice University.  The renamed Rice University Farmers Market will continue as a marketplace for local food and other related agricultural products and services.

   • September 9: Yellow – Moderate. African dust should rapidly spread across most of the eastern half of the state and may bring fine particulate levels up to near the “Moderate” range.
   • September 10 – Green – Good. Moderate winds and lower background levels should help to keep air quality in the “Good” range.
