WHAT: It was on September 15, 1810 when Father Miguel Hidalgo climbed atop a church and encouraged people to fight for Mexico’s independence. This “cry” for liberty marks the anniversary of Mexico’s “Grito de Dolores” and it’s celebrated with music, fireworks and parades. Join us as we commemorate our neighbor’s 200th freedom celebration by playing traditional games, designing festive banners and enjoying toe-tapping entertainment.
