Description: On Saturday Melissa Cole will host a field day her award-winning Spring Branch Ranch and show us how she is returning the land to a grassland ecosystem, complete with a variety of native flora and fauna. As a direct result of their good management, Spring Branch Ranch was awarded the Lone Star Land Steward Award for the Post Oak Savannah in 2007.

The HMI field day at Spring Branch Ranch on August 14th may be hot, but worth the trip! Hear from the team of biologists and consultants that helped create the current management plan, as well as the triumphs and stumbling blocks along the way. You’ll get tips on how to create your own management plan, including where to start and the resources at your disposal. Small and large landowners alike will be able to apply many of the ideas presented on their land

The Spring Branch Ranch field day is $30. The deadline is August 9th.
