Description: The Houston-Galveston Area Council will host three public comment meetings to collect
feedback on the partial method of distribution for $258,000,000 in Community Development
Block Grant Disaster Recovery funding to communities within the H-GAC region. The
meetings will be:

* Wednesday, July 28, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Hobby Airport Marriott, 9100 Gulf
Freeway, Houston,
* Wednesday, July 28, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Galveston County Courthouse,
722 21st Street, Galveston,
* Thursday, July 29, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Greenspoint Marriott, 255 N. Sam
Houston Parkway East, Houston.
Local governments are eligible to receive Community Development Block Grant Disaster
Recovery funding to address unmet housing, infrastructure and economic development
needs associated with Hurricane Ike. Eligible communities are located in Austin,
Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery,
Walker, Waller and Wharton counties.
