Description: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA), in cooperation with the Texas
Commission on Environmental Quality
(TCEQ), Harris County, other Federal and
State agencies, and local officials, will
conduct a Superfund Site Community
Engagement Meeting for the San Jacinto site
from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July
22, 2010, at the Highlands/San Jacinto
Community Center, 604 Highland Woods
Drive, Highlands, TX 77562.

Community members will have the
opportunity to ask agency officials siterelated
questions, but also provide comments
and suggestions at the beginning of this
major cleanup project. Action items to be
discussed at the meeting include the ongoing
Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study,
start of the site stabilization and removal,
public awareness, and future activities.
