Location: Houston Audubon’s Horseshoe Marsh coastal prairie restoration site, 3 miles north of the ferry on Hwy 87
Description: Planting at Horseshoe Marsh Houston Audubon and the Galveston Bay Area Texas Master Naturalists are planting native grasses and wildflowers at Houston Audubon’s Horseshoe Marsh coastal prairie restoration site 3 miles north of the ferry on Hwy 87. Please join us for the planting day from 8 until 11. Please note the earlier start time. Everyone is welcome! An early lunch is provided if you let me know us will be there. To shorten your drive time, consider parking at the Galveston ferry landing and calling my cell to be picked up at the Bolivar landing, only a few minutes from the restoration site. We have 500 native grasses and wildflowers potted-up and ready to plant. We need your help to get them in the ground!
