Location: Houston Audubon’s Horseshoe Marsh coastal prairie restoration site, 3 miles north of the ferry on Hwy 87
Description: Planting at Horseshoe Marsh Houston Audubon and the Galveston Bay Area Texas Master Naturalists are planting native grasses and wildflowers at Houston Audubon’s Horseshoe Marsh coastal prairie restoration site 3 miles north of the ferry on Hwy 87. Please join us for the planting day from 8 until 11. Please note the earlier start time. Everyone is welcome! An early lunch is provided if you let me know us will be there. Please email me at fhannah@houstonaudubon.org or phone the office at 713-932-1639, ext. 105 to RSVP. To shorten your drive time, consider parking at the Galveston ferry landing and calling my cell to be picked up at the Bolivar landing, only a few minutes from the restoration site. We have 500 native grasses and wildflowers potted-up and ready to plant. We need your help to get them in the ground!
