GHASP/MfCA is now Air Alliance Houston!

Air Alliance Houston reports:

After almost two years advocating for cleaner, healthier air in the Houston region under the merged name GHASP/MfCA, our organization has now officially adopted a new name – Air Alliance Houston.  The new name, and accompanying new website at www.airalliancehouston.org, does not change our mission: to reduce air pollution in the Houston region to protect public health and environmental quality through research, education and advocacy.

After a long period of deliberation, GHASP/MfCA’s merged board last year decided that a new name was necessary in order to continue to effectively pursue our organization’s goal of clean, healthy air for everyone in the greater Houston area.

We believe that this new name not only acknowledges our history – the result of two non-profits forming a stronger alliance – but embodies our positive belief that healthy air for all is not only necessary but attainable if we all work together in as strong a relationship as GHASP and Mothers for Clean Air.

Our mission, our programs, our activities and our focus on reducing all forms of air pollution in the Houston region remain central to our organization.  United, we believe we can not only maintain but build on our reputation of working for a better future for the greater Houston community.
