Celebrate a very special Valentine’s Eve with gourmet food and wine in Houston’s premier venue for natural beauty. Meander from one delectable table to the next along the recently restored Willow Oak Trail. Dine on delicious tapas created by Chef Adam Paul complete with wine pairings for each food selection. The ultimate destination of this forest feasting will be on the Meadow Deck, where guests will enjoy champagne and a romantic dessert in the company of a special guest…a live owl.
Chef Adam Paul attended the Culinary Institute of America in New York and worked for a Manhattan catering company as well as a fine dining restaurant in upstate New York. He currently works for a well-known Houston catering company. Some of Chef Paul’s interests in food include wild game preparation, charcuterie and traditional ethnic dishes and the art of farming and self sustainability.
Loblolly Table: Cheese Assortment – fresh, soft, semi-soft and hard cheeses with seasonal accompaniments to include Quince Paste, seasonal fruits, persimmon chutney
Wine: Pheasant Ridge Chenin Blanc
Post Oak Table: Fruit of the Forest – Mushroom Soup
Wine: Louis Latour Pinot Noir Bourgogne Rouge
Yaupon Table: Green Goddess Endive Salad with garlic wafers and Crisp crouton spears
Wine: Perrin Côtes du Rhône Blanc Reserve
Redbud Table: Risotto with Duck Prosciutto, Morels, Asparagus tips and herbs topped with sliced Smoked Bangers
Wine: San Felice Perolla Rosso Maremma
Meadow Deck: Chocolate covered Strawberries and Crisp Chocolate cups filled with Passion Fruit Gelato
Wine: Foss Marai Prosecco; Coffee provided by Starbucks.

Time: Arrive anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. to start your stroll. Last admission on the trail is 7 p.m. Event closes at 9 p.m.
Cost:
$60 per person for Arboretum members; $75 per person for non-members.
Childcare for ages 5 and up at a fee of $10 per child. Reservations are required; limited spaces are available.
Deadline: Pre-registration is required by February 10.
Special note: Dress comfortably for your walk through the woods. Trail to Meadow Deck is approximately 1/4 mile and is wheelchair accessible. In case of inclement weather, event will be held in nature center building.
