Description: On January 14, 2010, the Greater East End Management District (GEEMD) will host a luncheon forum to promote Houston’s East End as a destination for new business and an opportunity for redeveloped properties. Fred Kent, President of the Project for Public Spaces, will be speaking on the topic
“It Takes Great Places to Make Great Cities.”
Buffalo Bayou Partnership is a co-sponsor of the luncheon along with Houston-Galveston Area Council.
Fred Kent is a leading authority on revitalizing city spaces and one of the foremost thinkers in livability, smart growth and the future of our cities. As founder and president of Project for Public Spaces, he is known throughout the world as a dynamic speaker and prolific ideas man.
Here in Houston, Kent was a consultant to the Discovery Green project and the Market Square re-design.
Catered by Irma’s Restaurant, this forum will take place at Americas Plaza, 2311 Canal Street.
