Nature Center Festival Recreates 1900s Farm Life

Armand Bayou Nature Center volunteers invite you to its 28th annual Martyn Farm Fall Festival on Nov. 14 and 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Visitors to the festival will see volunteers dressed in period costume make syrup from sugar cane, churn butter, prepare cheese, bail hay and make soap.  A wide variety of other demonstrators, vendors and entertainers will also be on hand.  Admission for Nature Center members it will be $6 for adults and $3 for children and seniors. Price for non-members is $8 for adults and $5 for children and seniors. There is no admission charge for children 3 years and under.  Armand Bayou Nature Center is located at 8500 Bay Area Blvd. in Pasadena.  Parking at nearby University of Houston-Clear Lake is free including the shuttle to the nature center.  On-site nature center parking is $3. For more information, call 281-474-2551 or visit Armand Bayou Nature Center’s website, http://www.abnc.org.
