Friends of Texas Wildlife will host a festive Pumpkin Patch, which benefits the rescue mission of Friends of Texas Wildlife. On Oct. 24, beginning at noon, Friends will host a full-day festival featuring games, food, moonwalk, prizes, vendors and an evening hayride through the forest to experience the sights and sounds of wildlife in nature. Friends of Texas Wildlife is the only wildlife rescue group in Montgomery County with rehabbers permitted by U.S. Fish & Wildlife and Texas Parks & Wildlife Departments. The group is an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff and only receives funding from independent donors through events like the Pumpkin Patch.
