Asia Society Texas Center presents The ConocoPhillips Environmental Lecture Series. Although Asia is home to more than half the world’s people, it has less freshwater than any other continent besides Antarctica. Dr. Saleem H. Ali, a professor of Environmental Studies at the University of Vermont, will address the challenge of providing Asia’s growing population with life-essential water. Professor Ali’s talk will be the first in the two-part ConocoPhillips Environmental Lecture Series. The challenge of sustaining biodiversity in Asia will be the subject of the second lecture, scheduled for October 29.
