Lake Houston Wilderness Park Master Plan Receives “Award of Excellence”

for Planning and Analysis. The Houston Parks and Recreation Department, with SWA Landscape Architects, has received the “Award of Excellence” by the Texas Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects for the Lake Houston Wilderness Park Master Plan.  The award recognizes HPARD’s vision to develop Lake Houston Wilderness Park into an urban preserve where city dwellers of all ages can experience the forest environment and develop an appreciation for the wilderness, ecosystem and inhabitants.
