Houston Parks Board and the Park People Join Forces

The Boards of Directors of the Houston Parks Board and the Park People are announcing today that they have signed an agreement to merge their organizations. Parks Board Chairman James A. Elkins and The Park People Chairman Lee Collins signed the merger agreement, which has been underway for several months. The combined entity will be known as the Houston Parks Board, and will expand the work formerly done by the two separate organizations in acquiring, improving, protecting, and advocating for parks and green spaces in the Greater Houston Area.
