ULI Houston Urban Marketplace
Tuesday, August 25, 2009, 11:30 to 6:30 at Hilton Americas Hotel. This year’s theme is “Upward Mobility.” In part, the conference will focus on approximately $1.7 billion in new transit expansion and its potential to drive urban redevelopment. The conference will also spotlight opportunities funded by new stimulus spending, as well as best practices in urban, infill redevelopment. The half-day Urban Marketplace features a keynote luncheon, presentations, roundtables, a marketplace with exhibitors, and a cocktail reception.
The need for ULI Houston Urban Marketplace is clear: many developers and investors already recognize the opportunities for development in Houston’s urban markets, and the financial incentives to boost new growth. However, most lack tools and partners to transform opportunities into realities. Similary, non-profits and others with expertise in urban development projects are seeking additional opportunities to capitalize on partnerships with “traditional” developers and funding sources. ULI Urban Marketplace brings together all parties interested in inner city development, with a focus on responsible land use and building a sustainable community.
