KBR Kids Day on Buffalo Bayou a Big Success!

On June 6, the third annual KBR Kids Day on Buffalo Bayou brought close to 5,000 to downtown’s Sabine Promenade. This fun-filled event, sponsored by KBR and Buffalo Bayou Partnership, featured over 30 non-profit organizations that offered a wide variety of hands-on environmental activities for children and parents alike. Adding to the festivities were skateboarding demonstrations, break dancing, kayaking, and getting up close to birds, bugs, and a friendly iguana. Families also enjoyed boat rides along Buffalo Bayou. Special appearances by the Astros’ Junction, Aeros’ Chilly, Dynamo’s Diesel, Texans’ Toro and the Rocket’s Power Dancers made the day even more exciting.
