Jones Park Happenings
Visitors are invited out to learn all about pollinators and how they are linked to our global food chain at our Pollination Celebration on Saturday and Sunday, June 20 and 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jones Park is offering a weekend of bird programs on June 27 and 28. Saturday, visitors can come out for a Warbler Walk to try and find the elusive Swainson’s Warbler and other summer birds. Sunday’s activity is for novice birders to sharpen their skills with a Junior Birding program in the afternoon. In addition, Jones Park has a new program for kids ages 7-12, Texas Bound! On Tuesday, June 30, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m, children can learn all about what it took to survive in an earlier period of life. Kids ages 10 – 15 a can earn their Jones Park Paddlers Card during our Junior Canoe Training program on July 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. More information about these programs can be found at http://www.hcp4.net/jones.
