Buffalo Bayou Paddle Trail Ribbon Cutting and Dedication Rescheduled.

The Buffalo Bayou Paddle Trail Dedication has been rescheduled from Thursday, April 16 at 10:30 a.m. to Tuesday, April 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Briar Bend Park in respect to fallen Houston firefighters Capt. James Harlow and Damion Hobbs, whose memorial services will be held Thursday, April 16 at 10 a.m. at Grace Community Church. Join Bayou Preservation Association, Texas Parks & Wildlife Department and Buffalo Bayou Partnership for the official dedication ceremony designating Buffalo Bayou as an official state paddle trail. Refreshments served following the event. At 26 miles long, Buffalo Bayou will hold the title as the longest paddle trail in Texas , beginning at Highway 6 and flowing downstream to the takeout at Allen’s Landing downtown. The trail will eventually be extended another 10 miles to the Turning Basin . Interpretive signage will be installed at various take-out locations along this stretch.
