Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet

Mayor Bill White and his environmental and health policy team are urging Houston businesses to emerge as community leaders by highlighting their commitment to youth education and the environment. For as little as $10,000, Cool Globes Houston offers a unique opportunity to showcase your green business practices and benefits of your company to millions of potential viewers, all while benefitting schools throughout Houston. “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is a nonprofit organization uniting public art and environmental awareness. Visit www.coolglobes.org to learn more and view the globes! Cool Globes comes to Houston this October through December 2009. Cool Globes Houston needs your help to exhibit new globes – created by local students – in schools across the City and to display the professional travelling exhibit of 40-50 globes in Discovery Green Park. Mayor Bill White and Robert Kennedy, Jr. will be the primary speakers at the Opening Celebration on October 8, 2009. All proceeds from sponsorships will be donated to Houston schools for their environmental education curriculum. “Let’s make Houston the energy conservation capital of the world.” -Mayor Bill White At a time when most are tightening belts, Houston’s business leaders are applying innovative and practical “green” business strategies that make economic sense, reduce our dependence on foreign oil and help our children learn about their most precious inheritance – our Earth.
