SCA Intern Opportunity.

March 11 or March 12, 10:30 am. Hurricane Ike has left many of you with a much longer list of needs than you already had time to cover and SCA may be able to help. SCA administers a summer crew program engaging local high school youth in service projects in and around Houston. In 2008 we engaged 32 youth completing such projects as boardwalk construction, trail construction, maintenance and repair, and invasive species removal. We are expanding our program this year to include focused workforce development curriculum in addition to their environmental education and service projects. The Houston SCA staff would like to invite you to an informational session about our crew program and what we are planning as we move into summer 2009. This session will be immediately after an informational session on our local SCA intern program, which starts at 9:30am.Light refreshments will be served so a reply is kindly requested.
