GALVESTON BAYKEEPER INAUGURAL MEETING

Galveston Baykeeper is starting a citizen monitoring program that will help ensure our wetlands get the full measure of legal protection and mitigation afforded by the Clean Water Act. In the Houston area we could save the equivalent, in acres, of an Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge every year. On Monday, January 19, John Jacob will present ‘Understanding Wetland Watch’, which is a Galveston Baykeeper program to measure the success of “no net loss of wetland” goals in the Houston/ Galveston region.
